Persona:
Alexis Ludwig was born in 1978 in Leipzig/GDR and works as a freelance musician, author, DJ, tinkerer and performance artist in Cologne. Following a DIY ethos, he teaches himself over the years to make music away from university, technical and music schools. Performances with various punk and noise bands in the uncommercial, self-organized space follow. Behind the since 2018 continuously developed art figure "Graneg Sandpapier", he releases several recordings and videos, is a performer live on stage as well as in public space on the road.
The currently most important aspects in his artistic work are the development of simple synthesizers, samplers and effect devices, from which musical works emerge in which he deals with the concepts of time and zone, among others. Furthermore
he develops and produces radio plays, runs the micro-label "EREMITENTEAM" and is one
half of the intergenerational project "Gitarrenflächenbrand & Gespensterbass" . The "Ensemble Dégénéré" will be created at the end of 2022, with which he will break new ground on unfamiliar terrain.

Alexis Ludwig wurde 1978 in Leipzig/DDR geboren und arbeitet als freier Musiker, Autor, DJ, Tüftler und Performance Artist in Köln. Dem DIY-Gedanken folgend, bringt er sich im Laufe der Jahre das Musizieren abseits von Hoch-, Fach-, und Musikschulen selbst bei. Es folgen Auftritte mit diversen Punk und Noise-Bands im unkommerziellen, selbstorganisierten Raum. Hinter der seit 2018 fortwährend weiterentwickelten Kunstfigur "Graneg Sandpapier" veröffentlicht er mehrere Tonträger und Videos, ist live auf der Bühne sowie im öffentlichen Raum unterwegs.
Die derzeit wichtigsten Aspekte in seinem künstlerischen Schaffen sind die Entwicklung von einfachen Synthesizern, Samplern und Effektgeräten, woraus musikalische Arbeiten entstehen, bei denen er sich unter anderem mit den Begriffen Zeit und Zone auseinandersetzt. Weiterhin entwickelt und produziert er Hörspiele, betreibt das Kleinstlabel „EREMITENTEAM“ und ist eine Hälfte des generationsübergreifenden Projektes „Gitarrenflächenbrand & Gespensterbass“. Ende 2022 entsteht das "Ensemble Dégénéré", mit dem er neue Wege auf ungewohntem Terrain beschreitet.
